**Job Duties: **
Working within the Product team, the Data Scientist plays a critical role in creating tools and procedures for dealing with complex, structured and unstructured data sets using advanced statistical methods. They work closely with the Solutions Engineers, Product, and Engineering teams in order to assist in the intake, cleanup, organization, and analysis of vast amounts of industrial sensor data from various manufacturing and engineering processes. They design, develop tools and procedures for handling complex, structured, and unstructured data sets collected from industrial plants, supporting Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents in making high-value decisions.
Specific Day-to-day Duties Include The Following
- Construct/design tools and scripts for ingesting data with different formats.
- Architect and create robust automated data analysis.
- Assist in creating different data visualization schemes and formats as required by internal and external customers.
- Design and oversee experiments and/or pilot projects from a data analysis perspective.
- Assist the broader Product team in building repeatable, scalable solutions for various use cases.
Requirements
Position requires a Bachelor's or more advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Control Theory, Applied Mathematics, or related engineering and applied science fields (or foreign equivalent), plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, or a related occupation.
Requires Education, Training, And/or Experience In The Following Skills
- Data Analysis; Data Visualization; Machine Learning & Deep Learning; and Control Systems Design.
- Statistical methods to analyze complex structured and unstructured data.
- Developing and applying algorithms to answer complex business questions.
- Manipulating large data sets using Python and tools like Pandas.
- Industry-standard data visualization techniques and tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, or Dash.
