You'll Be Responsible For
- Online Sales Operations:
- Prepare products for sale received from our donation pick-up team and vendors.
- Stage, photograph, and post items for sale within 48 hours of arrival.
- Develop a mentality to "comp-shop" online to find competitive pricing and priced items that arrive for sale.
- Process and prepare orders for customer pickup or shipping.
- Support volunteers through engagement and clear direction during their shifts.
- In collaboration with the E-Commerce Manager, mark down items that have not sold in a pre-determined time frame.
- Answer phones and respond to email inquiries.
- Occasional special event booth/table assistance.
- Engage in appropriate communication channels to stay informed during shift via communication channels such as Slack, Teams, etc.
General Warehouse Responsibilities
- Assist with warehouse inventory stocking when product is received from direct vendors.
- Assist in keeping the warehouse clean and organized, including disposing of trash, recycling, and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
- Engage in appropriate communication channels to stay informed when the E-Commerce Manager is out of office.

To be considered above and beyond the average candidate in this role, you'll also:
- 1-year minimum relevant work experience in a retail or warehouse environment.
- Experience buying or selling on an e-commerce marketplace (eBay, Mercari, PoshMark, etc)
- Experience handling, packaging, and shipping items.
- Familiar with lighting and photography basics.
- Familiar with Canva and/or app-based photo editing.
- Forklift experience preferred but not required. Forklift training will occur within three months of hire.
Your work environment and activities
You will spend your workday in an open warehouse and retail environment.
Assisting customers and handling donations is very active and requires consistent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
This means you will frequently lift, move, and/or load items over 50 pounds with mechanical or co-worker assistance.
Your Work Schedule
40-hour work week, generally Tuesday - Saturday 8:30am-4:30pm; some occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary based on the need of the store.
Your Compensation
We aim to offer competitive pay and benefits and are committed to equity and transparency in compensation. Basing compensation on a candidate's willingness and/or ability to negotiate leads to inequities and bias in how employees are compensated, particularly for historically oppressed groups.
We determine the best possible compensation offer based on base qualifications, relevant experience, internal equity, and the candidate's competencies for the role demonstrated during the hiring process. Successful candidates are typically hired within the first half of the Pay Range and receive scheduled incremental increases. When starting in this position, your compensation will generally be between $17.34 - $20.61 per hour, not exceeding the range midpoint. The full range for this position is $17.34 - 24.28 per hour.
