We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Vice President of Operations to lead and optimize a network of three U.S.-based chemical manufacturing facilities. This role will be based in Tennessee and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and EHS across the sites.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in chemical manufacturing operations, multi-site leadership, and a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations across three chemical production facilities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency
- Develop and execute operational strategies that align with company objectives and growth plans
- Manage all facets of operations, including production, logistics, procurement, maintenance, supply chain, and quality systems
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to improve productivity and reduce costs
- Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.)
- Recruit, mentor, and develop plant leadership and operations teams to build a high-performance culture
- Collaborate closely with R&D, commercial, and corporate functions to support new product introductions and customer requirements
- Oversee capital projects and infrastructure investments as the business evolves
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in chemical manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior operations leadership role
- Demonstrated success managing multi-site manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of chemical processing technologies, production planning, and process safety
- Broad experience across supply chain management, quality systems, and manufacturing operations
- Proven ability to lead transformation efforts and deliver measurable performance improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (advanced degree a plus)
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites as needed
