Job Summary:
As a Package Operations Specialist, you will manage the project intake process while tracking and enforcing the development timelines for new package developments to support product launches between cross-functional partners and key suppliers. You will oversee all operational aspects of packaging development including brief intake process, status of pack/creative development, and supplier management for execution. You will be the point of contact for all development inquiries and changes relating to your programs. You are a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. You possess a collaborative working style and an innate ability to effectively build strong relationships and to partner with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Project Intake & Prioritization
- Oversee the project intake process, assessing weekly updates from Product Marketing and aligning them with business priorities and resource availability
- Collaborate with Packaging and Procurement team members to align on the package development strategy and assist with project management from business award through development
Supplier Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Manage packaging development milestones with suppliers and internal partners
- Track samples submissions and status of feedback/approvals while maintaining the necessary timelines
- Assist NPD in developing new launch timelines and validating development lead times
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process optimization within the packaging/procurement team, implementing best practices in project management
- Report program progress and escalate roadblocks to management and key stakeholders as needed
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of experience in project management within procurement or supply chain functions, with a focus on package development projects (custom primary packaging and printed secondary packaging), CGP area preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
- Experience managing cross-functional projects, with a demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with diverse business units
- Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Excel, Planning Programming & SAP expertise
- Knowledge of Smartsheet is a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Experience motivating cross-functional teams towards common goals and holding team members accountable for on-time and accurate deliverables
- Ability to work in office 2 days per week (Tuesday & Wednesday)
