Job Summary:
As a New Product Development Manager you will create, track and enforce the development timelines for New Products. You will oversee all aspects of product development including: brief process, formula development, pack/creative development, BOM creation, and handoffs to production for execution. You will be the point of contact for all development inquiries and changes relating to your programs. You are a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. You possess a collaborative working style and an innate ability to effectively build strong relationships and partner with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce New Item timelines that meet sales, marketing, R&D, packaging, and supply chain goals
- Lead weekly meetings to review all new product and new merchandising milestones with stake holders
- Update cross-functional areas on progress of launches and key KPIs
- Partner with Sales/Marketing/Packaging/Design/Operations for development of Merchandising
- Communicate NPD execution strategies internally
- Work with BOM Analyst and Packaging to create and maintain BOM in system of record
- Align on Gate escalation issues cross-functionally
- Report program progress and escalate road-blocks to management and key stakeholders as needed.
- Capture and share lessons learned from projects to enhance future program performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of New Product Development experience, Project Management
- Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Excel, Planning Programming & SAP expertise
- Smartsheet knowledge is a plus
- Program Management, including the ability to determine appropriate program measures to assist themselves and other teammates and defining roles and responsibilities within the team.
- Time Management, including balancing multiple program objectives and needs simultaneously and considering resource management.
- Leadership, including motivating cross-functional team towards common goals and holding team members accountable for on-time and accurate deliverables.
