Associate Manager, Logistics – Core
Position Overview
The Associate Manager, Logistics – Core is responsible for overseeing logistics activities for Dior’s core inventory across the US and Canada. This role ensures seamless inbound and outbound transportation, vendor management, cost optimization, and adherence to high operational standards.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Logistics & Trade Compliance, this position requires hands-on expertise in international transportation and a strong understanding of operational logistics. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to excellence in logistics execution and continuous improvement.
Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inbound and outbound transportation for core inventory across the US and Canada market.
- Lead and manage import and export activities for air and sea freight shipments, including coordination with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
- Manage customs broker relationships, ensuring complete and accurate import documentation for timely clearance.
- Proactively track shipments, resolve delays, and manage escalations to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
- Manage Zone Triangular and Central Retrieval flows, ensuring documentation accuracy and adherence to operational timelines.
- Support Wholesale logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate product delivery to retail partners.
- Review and approve freight invoices for accuracy and alignment with contractual terms; monitor freight spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist with logistics budget forecasting and contribute to performance reporting.
Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics vendors, serving as the primary logistics point of contact.
- Monitor vendor performance and KPIs, addressing service issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, establishing scorecards to track service, timeliness, and cost metrics.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve logistics efficiency, shipment visibility, and reporting accuracy.
- Maintain and refine SOPs for transportation and handling, ensuring adherence to operational standards.
- Support strategic projects focused on logistics optimization, vendor performance, and systems enhancement.
- Work cross-functionally to enhance visibility, reporting, and accountability across logistics flows.
Profile
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the luxury or fashion.
- Strong understanding of international logistics, including incoterms, customs brokerage, and import/export documentation.
- Experience managing freight forwarders and customs brokers, with familiarity in freight cost tracking and invoice auditing.
- Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and initiative.
- Analytical and solution-driven, with strong communication skills to manage vendors, resolve issues, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A curious, problem-solving mindset and a passion for logistics and continuous improvement.
Additional information
The selected candidate will be offered a salary within the range of $85,000 - $100,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility. The salary offered will be dependent upon the candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
