The Head of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution operations. This role ensures the accurate, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods to support store operations, meet service level expectations, and enable business growth. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep operational expertise who excels at optimizing internal workflows, developing high-performing teams, and implementing scalable systems. This position plays a key role in aligning supply chain execution with strategic priorities, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring consistent performance across all regions.
Responsibilities:
- Direct comprehensive logistics operations including warehousing, inventory control, and distribution activities to guarantee precise, timely, and economical goods movement throughout our network
- Develop and refine warehouse processes encompassing goods receipt, storage allocation, stock replenishment, order selection, preparation areas, shipment dispatch, and returns processing
- Manage transportation logistics including internal fleet coordination, delivery route planning, carrier relationships, and performance tracking to maintain reliable service standards
- Partner with merchandising, retail operations, demand planning, and financial teams to synchronize supply chain activities with sales forecasts, seasonal variations, and marketing campaigns
- Create and execute strategic initiatives that enhance warehouse efficiency, inventory precision, order processing speed, and delivery reliability while enabling business expansion
- Build and mentor a high-caliber team spanning warehouse and transportation functions while promoting accountability, operational excellence, and robust safety practices
- Assess and deploy warehouse management platforms, transportation scheduling systems, and logistics technology solutions to enhance operational transparency, accuracy, and automation capabilities
- Monitor and analyze critical supply chain metrics including stock turnover rates, order completion percentages, processing timeframes, delivery punctuality, labor productivity, and facility utilization
- Oversee supply chain budget allocation covering personnel, transportation, maintenance, and equipment expenses while identifying cost optimization opportunities that preserve service quality
- Champion continuous improvement programs to reduce operational expenses, streamline processes, minimize defects, and elevate service standards
- Maintain adherence to company protocols, OSHA safety regulations, DOT transportation standards, food safety guidelines, and all applicable operational procedures
- Supervise fleet management including maintenance scheduling, regulatory compliance, fuel optimization, and delivery performance across operating territories
- Execute systematic reviews of inventory accuracy, warehouse procedures, equipment utilization, and transportation safety protocols to identify and address potential risks
- Design and implement training, mentoring, and performance enhancement programs for warehouse leadership and logistics supervisors to strengthen operational management capabilities
- Collaborate with technology and analytics teams to improve reporting systems and data platforms for enhanced supply chain decision-making
- Develop and deliver operational performance summaries, strategic briefings, and improvement proposals to executive leadership on a regular schedule
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related discipline required; Master's degree or MBA preferred
- Minimum 10 years of advancing experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing multi-location distribution networks
- Background in grocery retail, wholesale distribution, or comparable operational settings strongly preferred
- Thorough understanding of OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory frameworks applicable to warehouse and transportation operations
- Financial expertise including supply chain budget management, cost forecasting, and savings program implementation
- Outstanding communication abilities with experience in cross-functional collaboration and executive-level presentations
- Bilingual capabilities in English and Mandarin or Spanish preferred
- Valid work authorization in the United States without sponsorship requirements
