Job Description
Effectively manage Peerless-AV projects. Has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a customer project as well as all standard products currently in development.
Qualifications
HYBRID POSITION:
- This position is eligible to participate in Peerless-AV’s Hybrid Work Model.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years Product/Project Management experience within manufacturing industry.
- Audio-Visual mounting industry experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of product development process and project management.
Required Skills:
- Ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills; be able to interact with all levels within the organization and with external customers.
- Must possess strong communications skills and be capable of expressing ideas and concepts in writing and verbally.
- Presentation skills required.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize a must.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- MS Office (MS Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access) required.
ESSENTIAL RESULTS:
- Works closely with engineering management on custom and standard product development
- Works closely with General Manager to assure projects are efficiently and profitably managed through all phases.
- Cohesive daily communication between the PM, customer for custom project, engineering, sales, marketing communications and manufacturing.
- Key account liaison for custom, non-design, deviations, and kiosk with options projects. Provide direction, leadership, guidance, and judgment for projects.
- Manage the project work and act on variances from the plan as well as bring projects to closure, document project execution and suggest process improvements.
- Project Management:
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Understanding of the company's business functions and work processes.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Aware of the Quality & Environmental Policies & Objectives and understand your role & contribution towards these goals and how activities in your area contribute towards these objectives.
- QMS & EMS Master List – aware where to find documented policies, procedures & instructions
- Aware of Significant Environmental Aspects & Impacts (Environmental MGT System)
- Understand Environmental Compliance obligations & implications for non-complying
- Proper MGT & handling of Hazardous & non-hazardous Waste, including recycling.
- Participate & support Peerless Emergency Preparedness & response plan.
- Contribute toward EMS & QMS initiatives & improvements to support QMS & EMS Goals & Objectives.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Sitting for prolonged periods of time (constant computer-based work)
- Must be able to enter a plant/warehouse (can range in temperature, humidity and dust levels).
- Must be able to wear required safety equipment.
- Occasional bending (at knees) or lifting boxes/packages 2-30 lbs.
