The Warehouse Operations Manager partners with the CFO-COO to ensure strategic and tactical initiatives within transportation and warehouse are carried out while process improvements, innovation, and operational efficiencies are identified and achieved. In addition, the Manager will provide backup support to its direct reports while providing ongoing mentorship and development in a motivational and impactful manner. Manages Implementation of Strategic Initiatives and Daily Operations
- Partners with CFO-COO to manage strategic and tactical alignment with the Executive Leadership Team; collaborates with CFO-COO in delivering KPI's in support of strategic initiatives
- Implements process improvements to improve throughput and quality
- Oversees daily activities of direct reports; monitors employee morale, regularly engages with employees, and assesses the ability of departmental leaders to foster high employee job satisfaction
- Provides focus, feedback and support to the direct reports in their effort to train, motivate, develop, mentor and discipline departmental team members; works on succession plans to assure business continuity
- Fosters a strong culture of safety and quality throughout departments by partnering with the Quality Assurance team to create and implement trainings, safe practices, and hazard awareness at all levels
- Monitors and partners with Executive Team on departmental budgets and works with direct reports to ensure expenditures are within company guidelines
- Ensures the continuous monitoring, remediation, and improved conditions of the Distribution facilities, as well as general company grounds and working environments
- Inventory management at all locations; Eugene and remote third-party warehouses. Some travel required.
Leads and Develops the Team
- Provides direct leadership, coaching/mentoring, and development of the Distribution Team; builds and sustains retention and engagement through monitoring performance and providing regular, timely feedback
- Supports departmental goals and executes improvement initiatives to achieve goals aligned with current business objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Establishes expectations to create accountability using a Strength Based approach
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in warehouse planning and scheduling, or equivalent, including third party manufacturing and warehouse sites.
- 3-5 years of experience supervising and managing a team in a warehouse environment
- Excellent computer skills and ability to assess and execute based on data analytics to include the use of Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP/MRP systems
- Excellent interpersonal, written, oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
- Proven ability to develop a strategy and actionable plan with measurable results
- Detail oriented and organized
- Exceptional prioritization and time management skills
- Experience in the Food and Beverage Industry, preferred
