Salary: $115,000.00 USD Annually - $130,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Job Overview: As the Manager of Network Operations, you will oversee the delivery of all network services across our distributed enterprise. You will be fully accountable for the daily operations of our network infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, WLAN, NAC, and FW technologies, as well as managing relationships with service providers. This role involves collaborating with business units and other functional stakeholders to ensure seamless network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee and direct the operation and support of IT network systems.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively manage and resolve issues, identifying opportunities for remediation and preventing systemic problems.
- Request Prioritization: Review and approve request prioritizations, partnering with managed service providers to ensure delivery against agreed service levels and continuously improving service delivery.
- Documentation: Create and maintain internal documentation to ensure consistency, repeatability, and efficiency in daily operations.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Establish and maintain SOPs to maximize efficiency and measure key performance indicators, consistently working to improve metrics.
- Vendor Governance: Develop and maintain vendor governance processes to maximize the value of delivered services and optimize operations.
- Technology Solutions: Assist in the evaluation, design, testing, and implementation of network technology solutions and business applications.
- Advisory Role: Advise on IT projects to ensure proposed solutions align with the operational capabilities of the network services tower.
- Lifecycle Management: Maintain the lifecycle and currency of network equipment and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in an IT delivery role, preferably in network solutions.
- Ability to assess and communicate network concepts and practices with both business and IT stakeholders.
- Experience with outsourced vendor and vendor contract management, including SLA review.
- Proven ability to identify operational issues and implement strategies to resolve them.
- Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement and find solutions.
- Knowledge of Aruba routing/switching technologies (or equivalent), traffic engineering, and experience with alert and performance management reports.
- Prior experience in the design, implementation, and operations of IT network solutions with managed services providers.
- Ability to travel up to 5%.
Preferred Certifications:
- CCNP/CCIE certification.
- Networking or related certification from a major cloud service provider.
