Note: This is a projected job opening. We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Creative Designer to join our marketing communications team. The Creative Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing visually compelling graphics, web layouts, and marketing materials that align with our organization's branding and marketing strategies. This position requires a strong understanding of design principles, user experience, and the ability to create engaging visuals that resonate with various audiences. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of designing for government agencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Multimedia, or a related field
- At least 3 years of professional experience in graphic design, web design, social media, and video
- Experience working with federal agencies
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Collaborate with the marketing communications team to create visually appealing and effective marketing materials, including brochures, posters, infographics, web layouts, and social media graphics
- Use creativity and design expertise to develop innovative and compelling visual concepts that align with marketing strategies and objectives
- Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity across all materials and platforms
- Optimize graphics and web layouts for various digital and print channels to enhance user experience and engagement
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in design, web development, and user experience to inform and improve design decisions
Skills:
- Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Sketch, or similar tools. Video editing software. WordPress and other CMS
- Strong understanding of web design principles, user experience (UX), and responsive design
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate marketing objectives into visually compelling designs
Position may require a suitability investigation (federal background check). Any telework is to be determined. The reporting location in the DC area is also to be determined.
