The Junior UI Designer in New York will be responsible for partnering with the creative studio & creative directors on digital projects including websites and apps.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for partnering with the creative studio & creative directors on digital projects including websites and apps.
- Conceptualize, design and oversee the development of fully responsive digital experiences including website style guide development, page design in Figma, and grooming digital projects and providing feedback to developers.
- Ability to prototype experiences including mocking up motion for presentations is a must. Experience with Principle, After Effects and Final Cut is a big plus.
- Strong design sensibilities with an understanding of digital design best practices including designing for accessibility requirements and across devices.
- Collaborate closely with Creative and Post Production teams to bring visual concepts to life and ensure all assets are delivered appropriately for web
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a digitally native creative role
- Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate design decisions clearly to both internal leadership and external parties (clients and developers) is a must.
- Extensive experience leading and designing for a responsive web design environment across desktop, tablet, and mobile with a proven track record for executing successful digital projects including campaigns, websites and apps
- Knowledge of information architecture, usability, and UI Design along with experience with web and mobile standards best practices, design, and usability principles and constraints within those formats
- Strong visual design skills, including a solid knowledge of layouts, color theory, typography, design elements, and interaction design with a sensitivity to user-experience
- Experience creating and maintaining a strict style guide and component-based design system for digital campaigns
- Ability to develop new, and work within existing, concepts is essential
- Expertise in Adobe creative products- Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Keynote, Zeplin, XD, Sketch, and Figma. Principle, After Effects and Final Cut a plus.
