The Military Logistic Manager – This role involves overseeing the receipt, transactions, storage, documentation, logistics, shipping, and quality assurance of military components through the transaction period. This includes inventory control through cycle counts, updating the ERP system through accurate transactions, manage the kitting of job orders, showing the team how to pick inventory, team management, and ensuring traceability of inventory.

Management of Teams
- Manage the shipping, receiving, and warehousing teams ensuring compliance with the highest warehousing standards. Ensure all team members are trained and performing up to expectations maintaining compliance with all government contracting requirements.
Shipping/Receiving
- Ensures that all available shipments are shipped to Lex customers on-time each day. Process includes Pick, package, process and ship government shipments generating the required paperwork to ship oversees shipments and domestic
- Identify the correct HTS codes
- Utilize M2M (ERP) system to support the team
- Maintain accurate inventory and shipping documentation including cycle count records and quality traceability.
- Verify/inspect how the shipment arrived or condition of the packaging if damaged or out of the ordinary
- Ensure all shipments have the appropriate identifying information on outbound shipments which include address label, packing slip, commercial invoice, or other documents.
Communication
- Communicate with managers, peers, and subordinates on a routine basis regarding the flow of materials throughout Lex.
Warehousing
- Responsible for forklift usage, training, and safety programs in the warehouse.
Transactions
- Execute timely inventory transactions including receiving, transferring, issuing, kitting, returns, shipping, and cycle counting transactions.
- Responsible for kitting and issuing material to job orders.
- Perform root cause on transactional errors including QR and manually processed transactions.
- Trace lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments.
Compliance
- Adhere to all relevant company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFAR, DPAS regulations ensuring proper management of government property, adherence to contract provisions, and government contracting standards.
- Ensure QC inspection processes are performed on all outbound shipments to ensure correct part numbers and quantities are shipping to Lex customers.
- Promote and follow established safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
metrics/accountability
- Develop a weekly dashboard of shipment transactions vs the goal
- Perform RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action); on receiving/shipping issues (Paperwork, wrong address, packaging instructions not followed) to prevent future errors.
- Track freight spending and report out weekly on actual vs plan
- Track number of receipts weekly and average time to process
- Understanding of DD Form 1387-2, special handing certification
- Experienced with MIL-STD-129R for the packaging
- Experience with ISO 9001 for warehousing and shipping/receiving functions
Supervisory Responsibilities
Education And Experience
- Bachelors or Master preferred
- U.S. Citizen is preferred
- 5+ years of experience required, Warehouse, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain
- ERP/MRP experience (i.e. Made2Manage, Epicore, SAP, Oracle)
- Experience in – MRP systems functionality, transactions, reporting, and research
- Lot Control/Traceability experience – required
