Job Title: Logistics Supervisor – Refrigerated Transportation

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee and optimize the day-to-day logistics operations within our food distribution network. This position is critical in ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of temperature-sensitive products via refrigerated trucking. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cold chain logistics, and transportation best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily logistics operations, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching of refrigerated trucks.
- Monitor and maintain cold chain integrity throughout the transportation process.
- Coordinate with carriers, warehouse teams, and third-party logistics providers to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Track KPIs such as on-time performance, freight costs, and temperature compliance; implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Resolve transportation issues such as delays, damage claims, and temperature excursions promptly and effectively.
- Manage inventory transfers and ensure accuracy between production facilities, warehouses, and customers.
- Communicate proactively with internal teams (sales, production, customer service) to anticipate logistics needs and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in logistics or transportation supervision, preferably in the food or beverage industry.
- Proven knowledge of refrigerated trucking operations and cold chain management.
- Proficiency in TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage teams and coordinate cross-functional collaboration.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
