The Associate Merchandiser for Value Channel is an ambitious, self-starter that thrives in an exciting and fast paced environment. They are a key partner, for providing support on the running of the day-to-day business. The Associate Merchandiser leverages organizational and analytical skills, as well as an eye for relevant trends, to support the brand and the achievement of financial goals.
Position Responsibilities
- Market expert – knows customer, competition and market trends across Women’s apparel categories in both full price and value channels
- Create seasonal sku plans for owned categories that align with the channel’s financial goals
- Assort and influence category assortments by analyzing buy history, product performance, consumer trend and competitive landscape
- Partner with cross functional team on day to day deliverables
- Participate in milestone meetings; recap and prioritize action items from meetings and follow up as needed
- Anticipate department needs for upcoming deliverables and maintain all calendar deadlines
- Deliver compelling and strategic seasonal assortment presentations to Sales team
- Manage key post-market milestones to ensure all orders are captured and processed seamlessly and on time
- Manage sample process; ensure samples are organized and categorized appropriately
- Use day-to-day learnings to create solutions and adjust strategies as business needs change
- Understand the different roles of the cross-functional team and how they relate to the Merchandising role, and foster relationships to efficiently drive collaboration
- Proactively seek out new opportunities to grow the business and further personal and professional development
Position Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Design, Product Development or related field
- 3+ years of related experience
- Highly skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, and proficient learner of PLM systems
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
- Strong business acumen, analytical and problem solving skills
- Highly detail oriented and organized
- Ability to multitask and adjust to shifting priorities in a fast paced environment
- Self-motivated with a strong ability to self-manage and define priorities of the department/business
- Must be able to develop relationships at all levels and work in a collaborative environment
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
