Littleton, CO has an immediate opportunity for a
level 2 Additive Manufacturing Engineer to join our mission.
Using your expertise in metal additive manufacturing technology, in this role you will:• Work hands-on with additive platforms, including optimization, troubleshooting, and calibration, while coordinating with OEMs for improvements
• Own the complete lifecycle of structural components, including conceptual and detailed design, analysis, procurement, testing, and qualification through collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Develop and maintain comprehensive CAD and engineering definition packages. Create Process Control Document (PCD) for AM builds
• Produce and improve reports, procedures, and manuals to document results and refine development processes
Our level 2 employees typically have 2 - 5 years of experience.Basic Qualifications:• B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, Welding, or other related Engineering discipline
• Experience in Mechanical Engineering working with production hardware
• Expertise in additive manufacturing powder-bed-fusion techniques
o Printing aluminum, and titanium based alloys
o Design for additive manufacturing (DFAM)
o Build file creation and optimization
o Operation and modification of additive machines
• Ability to identify root causes of failures that occur in the additive printing process
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and design for manufacturability
• Experience with 3D CAD tools and Product Data Management (PDM) systems
• Due to programs and work being supported, United States citizenship is required
Desired Skills:• High level of proficiency with Creo, Windchill, 3dExpert, & Materialize Magics
• Experience working with the EOS M290, M400, & GE Spectra H
• Proficiency in mechanics of material properties
• Knowledgeable in various additive and subtractive manufacturing and joining techniques for metals
• Experience with the set up and operation of a furnace to heat treat metal
• Knowledge of LEAN, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methods used in manufacturing processes

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
