HR & Payroll Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

Accurately verify and enter employee payroll hours into the payroll system on a weekly and bi-weekly basis.
Process and distribute all required union reports on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
Serve as a point of contact for union-related reporting requests and provide appropriate documentation as needed.
Collaborate with internal departments to gather data and documentation required for billing, payroll, and compliance purposes.
Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including onboarding, enrollment, changes, and terminations.
Support basic HR functions such as maintaining employee records, preparing new hire documentation, and assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes.
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and general HR policies in a timely and professional manner.
Help ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements related to payroll and human resources.
Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as needed, such as audits, training support, or employee engagement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned to support payroll, HR, and general business operations.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of payroll processing and accounting principles is a plus.
Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems is a plus.
