Executive Assistant to Editor-in Chief, Prestigious Editorial Magazine, Mid-Town, NYC
Our client, a leading voice in conservative journalism, is seeking a highly organized, proactive Executive Assistant/Office Manager to support the Editor-in-Chief and manage day-to-day operations of their NYC office. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in both executive support and office administration, contributing to a mission-driven organization that champions the principles of a free society. This is a 5-day-a-week, in-office role based in Midtown Manhattan.
About the Job
- Manage complex calendar, travel logistics, and meetings for the Editor-in-Chief
- Prepare documents, presentations, and reports for editorial and donor meetings
- Track and reconcile expenses and submit reports on behalf of the executive
- Coordinate high-level meetings, events, and company functions
- Oversee all aspects of office operations including supplies, equipment, space, and vendor relations
- Lead onboarding for new hires and maintain organizational systems and office procedures
- Serve as a liaison to building management and service providers
- Handle confidential information with the highest level of discretion
- Execute ad-hoc administrative and project-based assignments
About You
- 5+ years of experience in executive support and/or office management
- A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional, discreet, and highly trustworthy
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management tools a plus
- Demonstrates sound judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and a team-first mentality
- Alignment with the values of the organization
- Experience in a media or editorial environment preferred
- Event planning and coordination experience a plus
