Regional Logistics Director

As Regional Logistics Director, you will play a critical role in strategically leading multiple locations to deliver Safety, Service, and Savings while driving operational excellence, innovation, and team engagement across the region.
What You Will Do:
Strategic Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Develop and execute regional logistics strategy to achieve annual goals across 3-5 or more locations.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to align logistics operations with broader business objectives.
- Ensure safety programs are implemented and maintained across all sites, delivering world-class results.
- Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to eliminate waste and improve productivity.
Customer Experience & Service Delivery
- Develop and implement plans to improve customer experience, targeting 95%+ DIFOT (Delivery In Full On Time).
- Collaborate with commercial and customer service teams to ensure logistics supports patient-centric delivery and regulatory compliance.
Financial Management
- Deliver regional financial plan, optimizing cost-per-kilo (CPK) and managing a $20-40M budget.
- Monitor and control operating expenses, capital expenditures, and ROI on logistics investments.
Talent Development & Team Engagement
- Develop and mentor Managers and Supervisors to build a high-performing supply chain team.
- Set and execute engagement strategy for 120-300 team members, fostering a culture of accountability and inclusion.
- Lead succession planning and talent pipeline development for key logistics roles.
3PL & Vendor Management
- Manage 3PL relationships, setting strategic agenda, expectations, and KPI adherence to ensure world-class results.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with logistics providers and vendors.
Capital Projects & Infrastructure
- Oversee capital budget for 3-5 facilities, ensuring compliance and timely execution of all capital projects.
- Lead infrastructure upgrades and automation initiatives to enhance operational capabilities.
Process & Systems Optimization
- Champion a TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) culture to improve safety, efficiency, and 5S standards.
- Ensure inventory accuracy above 99.5% net, with robust processes for bin-level accuracy and cycle counting.
- Drive adoption of logistics automation and digital tools to improve visibility and control.
Change Management & Innovation
- Lead change management efforts, including new site startups, system implementations, and organizational transitions.
- Identify and implement innovative logistics solutions to support scalability and agility.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA, OSHA, DOT, and environmental standards.
- Develop and maintain risk mitigation plans for logistics operations, including contingency planning and disaster recovery.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Use data analytics to identify root causes, measure performance, and drive continuous improvement.
- Report on key metrics and provide insights to senior leadership to support strategic decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years of logistics experience, with a strong track record of driving quality and operational results
- Experience managing 3PL partnerships and leading multi-site operations
- 3+ years of process improvement experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading multiple warehouses or distribution centers
- SAP and WMS experience
- Expertise in warehouse operations, productivity initiatives, and logistics automation
- TPM and/or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Experience with strategic planning and cross-functional leadership
