Role Overview
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and intellectually curious Entry-Level Data Analyst to join our data-driven team. In this support role, you’ll work closely with experienced analysts and cross-functional teams to transform raw data into actionable insights that shape strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends and patterns
- Perform data cleaning, mining, and aggregation to prepare datasets for modeling and analysis
- Design, develop, and maintain databases and data-driven solutions aligned with business goals
- Utilize programming languages and statistical tools to build models, generate insights, and deliver impactful reports
- Collaborate continuously with internal teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and outcomes
- Support the implementation of data models, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of insights delivered
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering preferred
- 0–2 years of related experience in a data-focused role
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL)
- Understanding of statistical techniques and their business applications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret structured and unstructured datasets to uncover trends and business insights
- Translate business needs into technical designs for BI solutions and analytical models
- Perform data cleaning, mining, and aggregation to prepare datasets for modeling and reporting
- Design, implement, and optimize ETL routines for loading data into Data Warehouses
- Develop and manage BI job scheduling and monitoring systems
- Build scalable dashboards, scorecards, and models with drill-down/drill-through capabilities
- Conduct performance tuning of ETL and ensure long-term BI capacity planning
- Collaborate with IT teams, business analysts, and infrastructure specialists to meet project goals
- Research and resolve data integrity issues while ensuring reliability and accuracy of insights
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required (Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics, or related field); Master’s preferred
Experience:
- 0–4 years of experience in data-centric roles, with strong grounding in:
- Relational Data Modeling
- Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI)
- Writing Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) in Power BI & Analysis Services
- Working with flat files, SQL Server, and DB2 databases
Skills:
- Proficiency with Python, R, SQL for data analysis and modeling
- Solid understanding of statistical techniques and their application in business contexts
- Hands-on experience in prototyping, proof of concept development, and data profiling
- Knowledge of BI architecture, performance monitoring, and security best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems to various stakeholders
- Experience creating technical documentation and architecture diagrams
The estimated salary range for this position in New York is $65-85,000.
