Primary Responsibilities: As an Associate Director of Project Management, you will be responsible for guiding and optimizing the performance of a high-profile, multi-disciplinary team to ensure successful client delivery. This role goes beyond traditional project oversight, requiring strategic alignment with complex portfolios, project planning + orchestration, budget management, staffing + resourcing, as well as advancing client relationships and ensuring operational excellence across projects.
Core ResponsibilitiesClient Leadership - Serve as a trusted client partner and key point of contact - ensuring clear communication, expectation setting, and accountability across workstreams.
- Lead the operational rhythm of the business: scope planning, resource alignment, and delivery excellence.
- Author and review project briefs, ensuring alignment from insight to execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex client challenges; confidently navigate difficult conversations when needed.
- Identify opportunities to enhance client operations and propose innovative, feasible solutions.
- Oversee annual scope and staffing plans aligned to brand strategy and budgets.
- Participate in high-level strategic planning with agency leadership and clients.
- Drive business growth by spotting risks, surfacing opportunities, and increasing efficiency.
Program Delivery & Operational Oversight- Oversee end-to-end project delivery across complex, multi-tactic programs - ensuring work is aligned, executed with precision, and delivered to spec.
- Own account P&L management - forecast revenue, track performance, and optimize financials monthly and quarterly.
- Negotiate scope, budgets, and contracts - including Statements of Work (SOWs) and SLAs that reflect strategic priorities.
- Manage scope, timelines, and budgets across multiple concurrent workstreams; flag risks and drive real-time solutions.
- Partner with finance and resourcing leads to maintain accurate forecasting, burn tracking, and team alignment to brand priorities.
- Lead internal operations and workflow cadence, including status meetings, workback schedules, and stakeholder communications.
Cross-Functional Leadership- Champion a collaborative culture - serve as the bridge between account, creative, medical, and digital teams.
- Guide internal teams to stay focused on strategic imperatives while ensuring deliverables are grounded in timelines and scope.
- Facilitate operational excellence by codifying and advancing best practices in agency process, delivery, and client service.
Team Mentorship & Development- Manage and mentor junior account and project management talent - supporting their growth and performance across engagements.
- Lead by example: combine strategic empathy with delivery excellence to inspire accountability, collaboration, and high-quality work.

- The salary range for this role at the associate director level is $145,000-$200,000.
- The salary range provided represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at Coefficient Health. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Desired Skills + Experience: We seek highly motivated individuals with a strong track record of professional achievement who can bring intellectual curiosity, determination, and creativity to our client work. You must have the following qualifications:
- 8–10 years of project/account management experience in a creative or pharma advertising agency.
- Strong background in pharmaceutical marketing - HCP and/or patient - with launch and rare disease experience preferred.
- Proven success managing large, integrated teams and complex multi-workstream programs.
- Deep understanding of marketing, creative, and production workflows.
- Confident in budget ownership, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Comfortable with fast-paced environments, ambiguity, and navigating competing priorities.
- Willingness to be in the NYC office 3+ days/week for team collaboration.
