Description
The Manager of Visual Merchandising will lead and manage the overall VM process for seasonal updates and secondary projects (events & promotional displays) within our department store retailers. They will own the project management, design kickoff through execution, timelines, budgets, logistics, and all operational aspects of the visual merchandising process. This position will be responsible for creating visual merchandising directives and guidelines that deliver the creative brand expression of Anastasia Beverly Hills. They will be part of a creative team that interacts with cross-functional partners (ABH sales, ABH marketing, ABH creative, outside vendors, retailers) to ensure visual standards are continuously executed in an elevated manner. The position will be responsible for streamlining communications and optimizing processes throughout project development, ensuring all operational deliverables fall within the VM timeline.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead the overall VM process, from concept to execution, for the department store environment.
- Partner with ABH Creative Ops to develop & manage project timelines, tracking milestones throughout the development process.
- Partner with ABH Sales to initiate fixture assortments and manage retailer feedback.
- Based on assortments, create planograms with strategic product placement for all fixtures within the department store environment.
- During the development process, provide creative solutions for gondolas and display units.
- Manage all communication with fixture & print vendors (project kick-offs, product needs, design requirements, instruction sheets, etc).
- Partner with ABH VP to review & approve technical drawings & prototypes.
- Manage prototype process, meeting planning, & approvals.
- Partner with ABH VM Design on all artwork requests for seasonal updates and secondary projects.
- Create artwork requests in Asana, providing ABH VM Design with all needed files (type safeties, assortments, planograms, etc).
- Partner with ABH Creative Ops to check final artwork, manage print proofs, & route files for approval.
- Partner with ABH 3D Design to update renderings for global decks.
- Partner with ABH VM Director to estimate & maintain annual budget (includes creating & tracking POs).
- Manage store maintenance requests.
- Attend key meetings (launch strategy, product updates, go to market, seasonal planning).
- Provide support for retailer presentations and internal meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of related visual merchandising experience, with domestic beauty retailers is a plus.
- Proficient in Adobe (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook), & Asana (or similar project management software).
- Experience in Sketchup, not required but recommended.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a strong team environment – contributing ideas & solutions while remaining flexible to feedback & respectful to other’s input.
- Ability to work independently with occasional guidance in complex situations.
- Strong presentation skills, ability to confidently present ideas to cross-functional partners.
- Superior organizational skills – ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Attention to detail, understanding of retail design fundamentals, & strong knowledge of materials & manufacturing processes.
- High sense of urgency, highly motivated, adaptable, flexible, & team spirited.
- Minimal travel may be required for prototype reviews.
Anastasia Beverly Hills offers a competitive compensation package with full benefits and a 401(K) plan with matching contributions from the company. The starting base salary range for this position in the selected city is $90,000.00-$125,000.00 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographical location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role is bonus eligible.
