Position Overview
Aroma360 is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Retail Marketing (VP-level title available for the right candidate) to lead and scale our retail marketing efforts across all locations. This individual will be responsible for driving customer acquisition, enhancing in-store traffic and experience, increasing revenue per location, and strengthening the overall brand presence in physical retail environments. This role requires an agile leader with a proven track record in retail marketing, data-driven growth strategies, and omnichannel campaign execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive retail marketing strategies to drive traffic, increase conversion rates, and build long-term customer loyalty across all store locations.
- Partner closely with retail operations and sales leadership to align marketing programs with revenue goals and KPIs.
- Lead store-specific marketing activations, seasonal campaigns, and grand opening strategies for new store launches.
Revenue Growth & Brand Expansion
- Own the marketing pipeline for retail sales growth, leveraging customer insights, historical data, and local market intelligence.
- Identify and capitalize on revenue-driving opportunities including local partnerships, in-store events, and experiential marketing.
- Collaborate with product and merchandising teams to support product launches and in-store storytelling that fuels sales velocity.
- Customer Experience & Loyalty
- Design and implement in-store customer experience initiatives that align with the brand's luxury positioning.
- Oversee CRM and loyalty integration into retail, in partnership with the digital marketing and analytics teams.
- Ensure brand consistency across all physical touchpoints while tailoring strategies to regional nuances.
Cross-functional Leadership
- Work closely with digital, creative, operations, and merchandising teams to deliver cohesive omnichannel campaigns.
- Provide strategic leadership to a growing retail marketing team, guiding both execution and career development.
- Support alignment between corporate brand marketing and in-store experience.
- Analytics, Reporting & Budget Management
- Develop performance dashboards and lead ongoing analysis of campaign and store-level performance metrics.
- Use data to make informed decisions, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
- Own and manage the retail marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation for maximum ROI.
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of experience in retail marketing, preferably in luxury, fragrance, beauty, or lifestyle sectors.
- Proven ability to drive measurable retail growth through marketing programs.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills; experience managing multi-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Experience with omnichannel marketing platforms, CRM systems, and customer analytics.
- Data-driven decision maker with a strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset.
Preferred Experience (for VP-level consideration)
- Previous experience scaling retail marketing for a multi-location or international brand.
- Expertise in retail expansion strategy and new market entry.
- Demonstrated success in influencing senior leadership and shaping brand vision at the executive level.
