Position Summary
Essential Functions and Job/Position Summary
The Project Manager will be part of the Human Resources PMO. The position will assist in managing and coordinating multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This position is highly collaborative and requires someone who is organized and who can identify areas of opportunity to enhance our delivery and operational processes. The Project Manager will have a solid understanding of traditional project management life cycle models as well as knowledge of Agile to plan, manage and successfully execute critical business projects.
The work of this role is performed primarily in-person as it relates to engagement with internal and external stakeholders. This role travels between 0-15% of the year, depending upon priorities.
Major Responsibilities
- Support the planning and implementation of HR projects from start to finish
- Develop detailed project plans to track progress and ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for successful project execution
- Collaborate with the Senior Project Management team to ensure project milestones are monitored and prioritized
- Participate in project meetings, taking notes and ensuring action items are addressed
- Collaborate with other Project Managers to ensure cross-functional dependencies are satisfied and best practices are being encouraged across the project
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Demonstrate clear, concise, effective verbal and written communications
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, such as project plans, schedules, and status reports
- Support the development and implementation of change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage while minimizing resistance. This includes preparing and delivering communications, training materials, and stakeholder engagement activities to ensure smooth transitions during project changes.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks, escalate issues appropriately, and provide recommend solutions
- Participate in after action review discussions to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
Required Education/Professional Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on large, complex projects in a global environment with multi-functional teams
Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes
- Familiarity with project management methodologies
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools, as well as Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
Salary Range: $3,653.85-$4,230.77/ bi-weekly
