The Executive Director of Supply Chain will oversee the complete supply chain process for North America, which includes demand planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and distribution. This role involves close collaboration with global team based in Milan, while also ensuring that regional operations align with commercial, merchandising, and retail strategies. The goal is to support omnichannel growth and improve efficiency and customer satisfaction, in partnership with the HQ Supply Chain Organization.
Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that ensure operational excellence, cost efficiency, and business scalability, aligned with KIKO HQ Supply Chain guidelines.
- Manage S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes across channels (retail, e-commerce, wholesale).
- Drive supply chain efficiencies to support cost savings, operational excellence, and speed-to-market.
Forecasting, Planning & Inventory
- Oversee US demand planning and inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels in the US Warehouse through efficient replenishment from the HQ warehouse, ensuring service excellence across all US channels and customers.
- Manage store replenishment, e-commerce order fulfilment, and third-party customer orders, ensuring high service levels (fill rate) by leveraging local stock.
- Oversee demand forecasting in collaboration with merchandising and sales teams.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet sales goals while minimizing obsolescence and markdown risk.
- Monitor stock rotation, sell-through, and replenishment KPIs across stores and online.
Procurement & Vendor Collaboration
- Coordinate procurement processes for local and global assortments.
- Manage vendor relationships including 3PLs, freight partners, and packaging suppliers.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing aligned with sustainability goals.
Logistics, Warehousing & Distribution
- Oversee 3PL partnerships with 3PL providers and carriers, with a focus on warehouse efficiency and operational optimization.
- Enhance logistics operations and reduce transportation costs through strategic planning and execution.
- Drive continuous improvement in logistics and transportation to reduce delays and optimize cost.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. customs, import/export regulations, and sustainability policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with global HQ (Italy) supply chain team, finance, and retail ops for cohesive execution.
- Serve as a key liaison with retail operations to support store openings, promotional events, and product launches.
- Coordinate with teams in the USA and at HQ, ensuring effective management of critical data and information such as assortment, communication, and commercial plans to support seamless planning execution.
- Contribute to ERP and system integrations to automate planning and reporting tools.
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing regional supply chain team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement
- Drive continuous improvement in supply chain planning, warehouse processes, and distribution efficiency.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) - such as service level, order fulfilment, and stock rotation - to maintain alignment with corporate objectives.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- 15+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations, within beauty, cosmetics, fashion, or CPG.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations, transportation management, and distribution strategies.
- Experience in global supply chain operations, working with international suppliers and distributors.
- Proven track record with international supply chains, including coordination with EU and Asia teams.
- Strong understanding of retail and e-commerce supply chain needs, planning methodologies, including S&OP, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization.
- Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills, able to build strong cross-functional relationships, internally and externally.
- Strong financial acumen and proven track record in building and managing a P&L.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), demand planning software, and Excel.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, including proficiency with pivot tables, macros, and intricate data analysis; knowledge of other data analysis tools is an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
