Job Title: Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager to join a highly reputable and established commercial interiors general contracting firm. With over 40 years in the industry, our organization is committed to fostering long-term career growth and development. You will be working on exciting college and university commercial construction projects in DC, specifically for Georgetown University and Howard University. This role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced mentors and potentially advance to a lead superintendent position within our family-run company.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the execution of commercial interior projects for college and university settings.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure project goals are met efficiently.
- Handle RFIs, submittals, and ensure accurate reading and interpretation of blueprints.
- Coordinate with various trades including flooring, ceiling, drywall, and other interior-focused tasks.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager in multi-family commercial interiors projects.
- Proficiency in managing RFIs, submittals, and reading blueprints.
- Experience working with flooring, ceiling, drywall, and other trades relevant to interior construction.

- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of construction professionals.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $45.67/hr.
