Position Summary: Sundance Mountain Resort is seeking a visionary, results-driven Senior Director of Lodging Operations to lead, elevate, and drive the resort's lodging offerings. This role will have a seat on the Sundance Mountain Resort's senior leadership team and will have full operational oversight of the lodging program and associated partnerships, including: A collection of over 100 unique short-term rental cottages and oversite of the relationships with our esteemed short-rental homeowners The launch of a brand-new 63-room boutique luxury Inn slated to open in December 2025 Ideation and strategy behind current and future luxury lodging concepts The resort's Spa and Wellness programs The ideal candidate is a dynamic hospitality leader with deep experience in luxury accommodations, targeted revenue management, a passion for personalized guest service, a commitment to sustainability and well-being, and strong leadership and EQ skills. This individual will play a key role in shaping the future of lodging at Sundance Mountain Resort while contributing strategically as a member of the resort's senior leadership team. Key Responsibilities: Lodging Operations Leadership Provide strategic and operational leadership for all lodging accommodations, ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences. Lead pre-opening planning, staffing, and operational strategy for the new boutique Inn. Oversee budgeting, financial performance, revenue management, and KPI achievement for all lodging assets. Spa & Wellness Programming Lead and evolve the resort's spa and wellness offerings, aligning them with brand values and guest expectations. Drive innovation in wellness programming, collaborating with internal and external partners. Team Development & Leadership Hire, train, and mentor a high-performing team across lodging and wellness departments. Foster a culture of excellence, empowerment, and service across all touchpoints. Guest Experience & Brand Alignment Ensure all lodging and wellness experiences reflect Sundance Mountain Resort's brand values of authenticity, creativity, and sustainability. Monitor guest feedback and continuously enhance service offerings and quality. Strategic & Cross-Department Collaboration Contribute to executive decision-making as a member of the senior leadership team. Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Sustainability, and other departments to align efforts and deliver cohesive resort-wide experiences. Qualifications: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive leadership in luxury lodging or resort operations; boutique hotel or independent resort experience preferred. Proven experience overseeing complex lodging operations, including multi-unit or mixed-accommodation environments. Demonstrated expertise in pre-opening strategy and execution for lodging properties. Strong background in spa or wellness program. Excellent financial acumen with a proven track record of managing budgets, forecasting, and revenue strategies. Inspirational team leader with the ability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent. Deep commitment to delivering personalized guest service in a high-touch environment. Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Passion for sustainability in mountain resort environments. A tech savvy leader that has experience in revenue, forecasting, and scheduling management softwares and an appetite for learning and evolving with digital resources as they arise. Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree a plus.
