Our mission is to equip people with biblical principles to renew lives, restore families, revitalize churches and reproduce influencers – worldwide. To accomplish this mission we produce radio broadcasts, Bible-based resources, provide training on peer-to-peer biblical counseling, discipleship and leadership development.
About The Position
Hope for the Heart is seeking a dynamic Social Media Manager. This position will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy, creating compelling content that resonates with the Hope for the Heart audience, and driving engagement across all social media channels. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and overall online presence across various platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter/X, LinkedIn).
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content (Canva, Adobe) tailored for each social media platform, including written posts, images, videos, infographics, and other multimedia formats. Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines in addition to current trends and delivers measurable results.
- Develop strategies and campaigns to enhance and build brand awareness across social media platforms.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of social media campaigns, ensuring they run smoothly and achieve desired outcomes.
- Maintain and frequently update the social media calendar based on the overall communications schedule to ensure timely and relevant content distribution.
- Organize and set up media days to gather necessary footage and images for content creation.
- Actively engage with all media platforms to maintain a dynamic and interactive online presence.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to compile existing photo and video assets and use native Instagram Stories tools or Photoshop as needed.
- Brainstorm and pitch monthly ideas to support ongoing brand goals and marketing campaigns based on overall performance goals.
- Use a mix of Canva and Adobe software to create videos, media posts, banners, and more.
- Edit images to enhance the visual appeal and ensure they align with brand standards.
- Collaborate with marketing to set up media projects.
- Research new techniques, design trends, and technologies to contribute fresh ideas and inspiration to the team.
- Conduct research on market trends and opportunities to inform and optimize social media strategies.
- Manage and organize folders and files to ensure easy workflow and access to assets by other team members.
- Monitor social media trends, audience engagement metrics, and competitor activities to inform and optimize social media strategies and campaigns.
- Work closely with marketing and content teams to ensure social media efforts align with overall marketing objectives and campaigns, ensuring a cohesive brand message.
- Systematically identify, outreach to, and manage influencers and influencer campaigns to expand brand reach and engagement.
- Develop and execute social media promotions to support e-commerce initiatives, driving traffic and sales.
- Handle crisis situations, negative comments, and reputation management with tact and professionalism to maintain a positive brand image.
- Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, platform updates, and best practices to continuously improve social media performance and adapt strategies accordingly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of experience in social media management and content creation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to create compelling content and convey the brand’s voice.
- Strong graphic design skills with formal training in typography, color theory, layout and photography. Must be proficient in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software (e.g., CapCut, Premiere). This role will involve a heavy amount of graphic design for creating post graphics, video thumbnails and cover images that must follow the organization’s brand guidelines as well as creating short, effective copy to accompany creative.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices.
- Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience in systematically outreaching to and managing influencers and influencer campaigns.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and engage with the online community.
