Summary Description:
Lacoste USA, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Independent Sales Representative to promote and sell golf and tennis-related apparel, footwear, and leather goods under the Lacoste brand. This is a commission-based contractor position responsible for managing sales within an assigned territory on a non-exclusive basis. This role requires 60% travel within the designed Northeast territory (PA, NY, MA, CT and NJ)
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- This role is 100% commission based located in a territory with high growth potential.
- Actively promote and sell Lacoste golf products to retailers and clients within the assigned territory targeting premier private clubs, resorts and specialty stores that align with Lacoste brand standards, positioning Lacoste as a premier partner in the channel
- Develop and execute strategic territory growth plans utilizing knowledge of the territory and leveraging relationships
- Partner with all accounts on an in-store merchandising & brand positioning strategy
- Utilize trade shows, account visits, and B2B platform to service the accounts for seasonal and in season sell-in
- Accurately communicate current product information, pricing, and brand policies to potential and existing customers
- Assist customers in finalizing purchase orders and agreements
- Maintain regular communication with the Manufacturer to report on sales activity, market trends, and customer feedback
- Devote consistent time and effort to grow sales in the assigned territory
- Utilize B2B platform to drive seasonal plans and manage prebook goals and initiatives
- Represent the Lacoste brand professionally and ethically at all times
- Return all samples at the end of each selling season
Requirements/Qualifications:
- BA/BS preferred
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in golf, fashion, or sporting goods
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter and manage time effectively
- Must be organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Access to transportation and ability to travel within assigned territory
- Familiarity with commission-based sales structures
- Must have the ability to communicate frequently with Lacoste via email, phone, or other agreed-upon methods
