A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a results-driven Supply Chain Manager to lead all aspects of supply chain operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient material flow, production alignment, inventory control, and on-time delivery within a dynamic production environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong operational expertise, a continuous improvement mindset, and proven leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead material planning, inventory control, warehouse operations, and shipping logistics.
- Collaborate with Production, Customer Service, and Quality to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Develop and manage a master production schedule aligned with customer demand, capacity, and inventory targets.
- Drive initiatives to reduce inventory levels while improving accuracy and turns. Address inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective actions in partnership with Quality.
- Support new product launches by ensuring material readiness and coordination with production teams.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and ensure adherence to departmental budgets.
- Apply Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance supply chain performance.
- Establish clear performance expectations and support professional development of team members.
- Contribute to strategic planning and cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
- Select, develop, and mentor a strong plant supply chain team.
- Other duties as assigned and necessary to business demands.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 6–8 years of progressive supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and advanced materials planning tools
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with Just-in-Time (JIT) and Just-in-Sequence (JIS) practices.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Limited travel required (up to 10%).
