Primary Function:
The Director of Warehousing will lead and optimize warehouse operations to meet business objectives while maintaining the highest standards in logistics, labor management, and compliance. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, leveraging significant P&L experience, and collaborating with staffing agencies to ensure workforce effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct day-to-day operations of warehouse facilities, ensuring efficiency in handling large manufacturing items.
- Develop and manage the warehouse budget, with full P&L responsibility, to meet financial goals.
- Oversee staffing models, ensuring effective collaboration with staffing firms to meet labor demands and operational standards.
- Design and implement strategies to improve warehouse productivity, safety, and compliance.
- Foster a bilingual team environment and provide leadership to ensure smooth communication across English and Spanish-speaking staff.
- Maintain inventory accuracy, ensuring timely fulfillment of logistics requirements for large-scale manufacturing projects.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including background checks for all staff.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across manufacturing, logistics, and staffing sectors.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Proven P&L experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets in warehouse environments.
- Strong background in working with staffing firms as a primary source of labor.
- Hands-on experience managing logistics for large manufacturing items, such as machinery, equipment, or industrial components.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (required).
- Must reside in the Houston, TX area.
- Clear background check is mandatory.
