Position Overview
The primary responsibility is to effectively manage the local Warehouse and Logistics team. The goal of the Manager Warehouse & Logistics is to organize, manage, and coordinate all Warehouse & Logistics (W&L) related operations of the assigned region and to monitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) through developing new and optimizing current processes and on-time production supply to internal customers, predominantly the Workshop and Field Operation teams. A strong focus is to implement the goals of the Strategic Plan to increase equipment availability and lead a culture of agility and accountability. The role ensures compliance at all times with the standards, policies and procedures defined by the Manager of Warehouse and Logistics.
Job Overview
- Leads the assigned Warehouse & Logistics team with managerial responsibility, including hiring and disciplinary measures, training, coaching, and performance appraisals ensuring team performance and task completion in accordance with agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strategic goals. Ensures daily alignment with Workshop and Field Operations Managers in assigned Region.
- Plans, coordinates and manages regional employees' activities to ensure alignment with Regions regarding corporate goals and strategy
- Prepares and presents monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) to Senior Manager Warehouse & Logistics through the analysis of inventory count, freight costs, delivery performance and worked hours
- Implements process improvements and procedures of the material flow, and updating the current documentation available (process descriptions, work instructions, check lists, etc.) to ensure compliance with local regulatory and customs requirements
- Collaborates with other departments and provides department information in relation to Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), CAPAs and Capex Projects
- Contributes to the budget planning for the local Warehouse & Logistics department and manages the approved budget
- Executes and monitors the area inspection for health and safety within the department and presents findings during monthly meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Education
- A vocational training, apprenticeship or similar education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field is required
- A Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or related education is preferred
- Certification to operate forklifts and overhead cranes is preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in inventory management and order fulfillment is required
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role is required
- Basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement Process methodology required
- Basic commercial knowledge (e.g. budgeting and cost analysis) is required
- Knowledge in transportation of dangerous goods is required
- Experience in an international and culturally diverse environment is preferred
- Capability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English as well as local language
Software/Technology/Equipment
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Teams
- Interpretation of technical drawings
- Intermediate knowledge of project and resources planning (Planout or similar program)
- Intermediate knowledge of data management, content management and workflow Program (e.g. SharePoint)
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Certification to operate forklifts and overhead cranes is required
