A dynamic and growing manufacturing company is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead all aspects of supply chain operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in procurement and materials management, particularly in chemical sourcing.
This on-site leadership position plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations across procurement, planning, logistics, and inventory control. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic thinking and operational execution, with a proven ability to navigate complex supply chains and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement activities, with a focus on raw materials and chemicals.
- Develop sourcing strategies that support cost efficiency, quality, and availability.
- Manage demand planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization.
- Lead logistics and transportation efforts to ensure timely delivery and cost control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain goals with overall business objectives.
- Provide leadership and direction to a growing supply chain team.
- Monitor market trends and supply chain risks to inform purchasing and planning decisions.
Qualifications:
- 7–10 years of experience in supply chain or procurement leadership roles, ideally in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing raw materials, including chemicals.
- Proven experience in inventory planning and logistics coordination.
- Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
