Solugenix is looking for a strong Manager of Logistics for one of our manufacturing clients in Irvine, CA. This is a direct hire opportunity.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Logistics & warehousing roles as a manager, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing, spare parts/equipment environment with an international presence in a multi-site network.
- Must have experience working for a company with a physical product.
- Strong 3PO experience.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Able to commute to 3 different locations each week (3 days Irvine, 1 day Montebello, 1 day Santa Fe Springs).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-term strategies for logistics, warehousing, and transportation to align with organizational goals and market demands.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and scalability.
- Lead initiatives to streamline and optimize warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring maximum efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain.
- Partner with internal departments such as Supply & Demand Planning, Customer Solutions, Sales, and production to ensure an integrated approach to logistics and warehousing.
- Develop and execute inbound and outbound transportation strategies that optimize delivery times, reduce costs, and improve service reliability.
- Work with external providers, factories, and overseas headquarters to implement the most effective logistics solutions.
- Drive the digital transformation of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Optimize the use of current systems, and implement and integrate new technologies, such as TMS, WMS, SAP, and eWM, to enhance operational visibility, tracking, and performance.
- Align logistics and warehousing strategies with customer expectations to improve service levels, reduce lead times, and enhance customer satisfaction through timely and accurate deliveries.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of logistics and warehouse operations, setting strategic goals and benchmarks to monitor progress and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead the development of logistics and warehousing budgets, ensuring cost control while maintaining high service standards.
- Ensure that all logistics and warehouse operations adhere to relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and internal audit requirements set by GSEB, maintaining full compliance across all processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Focus on maintaining precise inventory records and overseeing regular cycle counts and year-end audits to verify inventory accuracy and ensure data integrity.
- Work with the Safety Manager to design and enforce security protocols and ensure the safe operation of warehouses and transportation processes, minimizing risk and enhancing operational security.
- Lead, coached, and developed warehouse and logistics teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation within the team.
Annual Base Salary Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $110,000 to $135,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
