Position Overview:
As the Sales Merchandiser, you will be responsible for optimizing product placement, increasing sales, and maintaining merchandising standards at assigned grocery retail locations. This role ensures inventory is properly stocked, promotional displays are executed, and planograms are followed to enhance the customer shopping experience and drive revenue. The Sales Merchandiser collaborates with sales teams, store managers, and distribution partners to maximize product visibility and ensuring private label placement throughout the store.
Responsibilities:
- Stock, rotate, and replenish shelves, coolers, and displays to ensure proper inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate product pricing, shelf tags, and promotional signage in accordance with retailer agreements.
- Build and maintain relationships with store managers, department leads, and retail staff to secure prime merchandising space.
- Follow and implement category planograms, retailer merchandising standards, and promotional directives.
- Ensure compliance with store policies, brand guidelines, and grocery distribution contracts.
- Provide feedback on planogram effectiveness and recommend adjustments based on customer behavior and store performance.
- Report shortages, damages, or out-of-stock situations.
- Building gondolas and other retail equipment
- Working with Bozzuto’s specific retail price tags and within the Bozzuto’s online portal
- Working on traffic flow patterns to enhance the customer experience
- Flexibility to work various or additional shifts, as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Performing other duties as assigned by leadership
Schedule:
- Monday – Fridays
- Hours worked based on business
- Travel required based on assigned territory
Environment:
- Varying temperatures based on retail environments
Experience:
- Preferred: One (1) year of experience merchandising, retail sales, or grocery distribution.
- Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred
- Preferred: Familiarity with grocery retail operations, product stocking, and promotional merchandising.
- Preferred: Knowledge of planograms, category management, and point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
- Preferred: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership
Skills:

- Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 75lbs.; the ability to operate required facility equipment; Ability to stand, walk and sit throughout your day; Walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile etc;
