About the Opportunity
A fast-growing, innovative company in the manufacturing and distribution space is seeking a results-oriented Director of Logistics to lead and scale its logistics and distribution operations. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of the organization’s supply chain strategy by driving process improvements, managing a multi-site logistics network, and ensuring service excellence through strategic vendor and partner oversight.
What You’ll Do
- Lead logistics strategy development and execution across warehousing, transportation, inventory control, and third-party logistics (3PL) management.
- Optimize inbound and outbound freight processes to drive cost savings and performance improvements.
- Oversee facility operations, including building maintenance, security procedures, and safety compliance.
- Manage the performance of logistics partners and carriers across multiple transportation modes (LTL, FTL, small parcel, international).
- Ensure regulatory and quality compliance, including GMP and DOT standards.
- Implement technology-based solutions to improve supply chain visibility and KPIs.
- Lead a growing team and foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and accountability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders in operations, quality, customer service, finance, and procurement.
- Maintain budget oversight and support cost control initiatives.
What You Bring
- 15+ years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain leadership, preferably within regulated or fast-paced industries.
- Proven success in leading large-scale distribution operations and 3PL networks.
- Strong background in transportation contract negotiation and vendor performance management.
- Expertise in ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms, with a track record of leveraging data to drive decisions.
- Strong understanding of inventory accuracy controls, compliance practices, and facility safety programs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex logistics operations.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and certifications in supply chain, Lean, or Six Sigma are preferred.
