We seek a dynamic and experienced PMO Manager to lead and continuously improve our Project Management Office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, a proven track record in project delivery, and the ability to oversee and mentor project managers. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to adopt and implement new technologies and software to drive operational excellence.
Experience with K-12 public works or education-related construction projects is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Project Managers and Project accountants within the PMO
- Provide strategic oversight and hands-on involvement in the execution of projects to ensure alignment with company goals and standards
- Analyze, track, and report on project costs and profitability using cost accounting principles
- Develop and maintain project governance processes, templates, and performance metrics
- Ensure PMO processes and documentation is continuously maintained and aligned with Systemology principles, and champion adoption and adherence across the team
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and other departments to support accurate project budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring proper documentation and communication of changes
- Facilitate continuous improvement of project delivery through lessons learned, tools, and training
- Lead the implementation and adoption of new software platforms to improve project tracking and reporting
- Serve as a key liaison between field operations and executive leadership
- Oversee the project lifecycle, from kickoff to closeout, ensuring quality, timeliness, and financial success
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years in leadership or PMO capacity
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting in a construction or technology-related environment
- Demonstrated success in managing or overseeing K-12 construction or technology integration projects is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables across various project teams
- Proficient in project management tools and reporting software; must be able to quickly learn and adapt to new systems
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- PMP, CAPM, or other relevant certifications are a plus
Salary Range $145K to $155K
