Founding Customer Success Manager | Early-Stage AI Startup
Our client is building the future of hiring with AI-powered recruiting agents that conduct live, real-time interviews at scale. Backed by leading investors and recently out of Y Combinator with strong early traction, they’re redefining how companies hire — faster, smarter, and with better signals than ever before.
They’re looking for a Founding Customer Success Manager to design, own, and scale the entire post-sales customer journey. This is a rare opportunity to be one of the first hires, working closely with the founding team to build the CS function from the ground up — no red tape, no bureaucracy, just real impact.
What you’ll be doing:
- Build out the full post-sales playbook: onboarding, enablement, success drivers, retention, and renewal strategies.
- Manage high-touch relationships with six-figure clients across multiple accounts.
- Develop customer enablement resources including decks, docs, training materials, and best practices.
- Report on customer satisfaction, retention metrics, and renewal performance, adjusting strategies based on data and feedback.
- Act as a critical bridge between customers and the product team, turning customer insights into product improvements.
What makes you a strong fit:
- 4+ years in Customer Success, primarily in early-stage or high-growth startups.
- Experience building CS processes and materials from scratch.
- Proven ability to manage multiple significant accounts and drive strong outcomes.
- Advanced CRM management and reporting skills.
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution.
- Thrives in customer-facing roles with high-value accounts; comfortable operating independently and proactively.
- Energized by early-stage environments: fast-paced, zero-bureaucracy, high-ownership.
