We’re looking for a Data Scientist II with a strong foundation in statistics, business analytics, and machine learning to join our growing team. This role focuses on applying advanced data science techniques to real-world pricing and sales challenges, delivering impactful insights that shape decision-making across the organization. This role will be onsite 4 days a week in Scottsdale, AZ.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead analytics projects focused on pricing optimization, churn prediction, and sales performance.
- Conduct time-series analysis, hypothesis testing, and causal inference to uncover trends and business drivers.
- Develop and deploy predictive models using Python or R, with a focus on statistical rigor and practical business application.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to understand requirements, present insights, and influence strategy.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Leverage SQL and cloud-based environments (AWS preferred) to manage large datasets and support scalable model deployment.
- Create reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations to communicate business impact.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience applying statistical and machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, clustering, decision trees, design of experiments).
- Demonstrated success in commercial analytics—especially in pricing, customer segmentation, and churn/lifetime value modeling.
- Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Experience working with large datasets and building production-ready models.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to partner cross-functionally.
- Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor's in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field required.
