The Machine Learning Scientist role involves designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and scaled solutions to solve 0 to 1 problems across various product surfaces including search, recommendation, growth, trust and safety, and fraud. Responsibilities include developing production ML algorithms, setting direction for ML development processes, contributing across the data science and ML stack, driving initiatives across product areas, designing and implementing data pipelines and systems supporting MLOps, and solving mission-critical problems unique to Whatnot’s livestream auction ecosystem.
