The Role + Purpose:
We are looking for a brand marketer to join the team to bring the J.Crew Women’s vision to life. The ideal candidate excels in integrated thinking, has fluency in converting ideas to presentations, understands social platforms, an elevated taste level, a passion for culture and trend, and an eye for nuanced storytelling and partnerships.
This role will be responsible for executing a women’s marketing strategy that elevates the brand, and drives customer growth, energy and engagement. This role will report to the VP, Brand Marketing.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support in the delivery of a women’s-first brand platform set by the VP of Brand, connecting dots between customer, culture, and design in partnership with the women’s cross functional leads
- Act as the marketing point person for our third party collaborations, owning the development of campaigns and working cross-functionally with Design, PR, Creative Production and Social to bring them to life
- Track the cultural, retail, consumer and media landscape, working with internal and external partners to identify and share discoveries, insights and opportunities
- Act as a solution-oriented ambassador between cross functional partners including performance, product, PR, store, retail, design, creative, merch
- Manage cross-functional planning process for the marketing calendar and content schedule. Work closely with members of the marketing team to create a cohesive omni-channel strategy that supports business and brand goals.
- Support marketing team with ad-hoc projects, reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree
- Role is expected to be on-site three days a week
- 4-6 years’ Marketing experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and synthesize complicated scenarios into easy to understand, effective strategies
- Proven ability to handle time-sensitive projects and prioritize multiple objectives simultaneously, to work independently, and to drive projects to completion with minimum guidance and acute attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication, eager to share and advocate for
- well-constructed opinions
- Exceptional organizational/ project management skills required
- Ability to think strategically but act tactically and evaluate tradeoffs
- Excellent presentation (deck) making skills; ability to synthesize ideas and information in clear, easy to understand visuals
- Experience with photoshop or design tools a plus
