Position Overview
The Logistics Operations Director is a key leadership role focused on driving operational excellence, standardizing processes, and building a unified logistics network. The Logistics Operations Director will oversee logistics and warehouse operations across three production facilities.
Responsibilities Of The Logistics Operations Director
- Lead and develop warehouse and logistics teams across multiple production facilities.
- Oversee transportation of raw materials and finished goods, both intra-company and to external partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with planning and operations to ensure inventory accuracy and fulfillment efficiency.
- Manage 3PL partners and internal fleets to support cost-effective and reliable operations.
- Support the transition to a new ERP system, contributing to selection, rollout, and integration.
- Analyze performance and deliver on key logistics KPIs and financial goals.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance service levels and reduce cost.
- Ensure proper staffing, compliance, and training across sites.
- Act as a key voice in shaping long-term distribution network strategy.
Required Experience/Skills for the Logistics Operations Director:
- 10+ years in supply chain and logistics roles, with multi-site leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience managing warehouse teams and 3rd party logistics providers.
- Strong command of inventory management, transportation, and distribution strategies.
- ERP proficiency required, experience with ERP implementations a strong plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Willingness to travel regularly between NJ and Long Island facilities.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations.
