Requirements
- 8+ years in data center, telecom, or network support roles
- Oversee vendors and infrastructure for emergency communications and telecom services
- Coordinate with service providers, jurisdictions, and Emergency Communications Relay Centers
- Deploy, configure, and support emergency communications network infrastructure (including cabling and racking)
- Provide technical support for E911, NG911, and Text-to-911 (SMS, MMS, RTT) systems
- Manage ESInet services, unified communications, alarm relays, telematics, and third-party integrations
- Investigate service failures, identify root causes, and implement remediation
- Support testing environments, validate 911 test cases, and maintain asset documentation
- Strong experience in LAN/WAN troubleshooting, voice/data routing (Wireline, Wireless, VoIP)
- Proficient with documentation tools (Excel, Visio, Word)
- Skilled in network hardware, cabling standards, LEC circuits, and field installations
- Physically capable and flexible with on-call, after-hours, and regional travel work
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- In-depth knowledge of emergency comms infrastructure, E911 call routing, NG911, ANI/ALI, ACD, land-mobile radio (P25), GIS, and SMS/RTT routing
