About The Role
As a vital member of the Uber Transit team, the Launch and Implementation program manager plays a crucial role in assisting transit agencies and universities around the globe with the implementation of customized initiatives.
This position involves overseeing a variety of projects, onboarding and designing programs with partners on a global scale. The main focus of this customer-oriented role is to guarantee successful implementation and provide training on new products and features across different regions and institutions.
What You'll Do
- As a Program Manager at Uber Transit, you're pivotal in helping transit agencies and universities worldwide implement new initiatives tailored to their needs.
- You'll lead large, complex cross-team program initiatives for the Uber Transit Team. The ideal candidate excels at onboarding and training and effectively communicates with both external partners and internal cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- You'll own projects, collaborating closely with account executives and stakeholders to design solutions, document business requirements, create timelines, and ensure project success from start to finish.
- Your role involves standardizing processes, ensuring efficient and consistent execution, and maintaining accountability by tracking progress, resolving dependencies, identifying issues, evaluating risks, and communicating status updates to leadership and collaborators.
- You'll act as a liaison between customer needs and business priorities, engaging and energizing cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
- Training: Proficiency in instructing both individuals and groups using diverse techniques. Develop user-friendly standard-operating procedures and training guides.
- Project Management: Lead complex, large-scale initiatives across teams. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and stakeholders, and customer success to estimate work efforts, define milestones, and manage resources. Track progress, resolve dependencies, and communicate status to upper management and stakeholders.
- Obstacle Removal: Proactively identify and eliminate roadblocks to maintain project momentum. Manage issue escalations and support teams in balancing competing priorities.
- Strategic Planning: Drive cross-functional strategic and business planning processes. Develop and execute detailed program/project plans, including roadmaps, funding, resource allocation, and hiring goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement ongoing enhancements to the engineering organization and program management processes. Share best practices, tools, and frameworks to improve product development and delivery.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally, providing visibility and highlight issue when required to the appropriate individuals
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years experience in project management, onboarding, training, product management, strategy, or operations
- Experienced in working with global teams
- Prior Transit, Higher Education or Institutional Training experience
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 years experience in project management, onboarding, training, product management, strategy, or operations
- Basic SQL
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically when designing a new program or project requirement
- Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple stakeholders, both internal and external
- Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively, Impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical individuals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong bias for action.

For Boston, MA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$116,000 per year - USD$128,500 per year. For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$114,000 per year - CAD$127,000 per year. For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$116,000 per year - USD$128,500 per year. For Miami, FL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$116,000 per year - USD$128,500 per year. For Nashville, TN-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$103,000 per year - USD$114,500 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$129,000 per year - USD$143,000 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$116,000 per year - USD$128,500 per year.
