Summary:
To provide quality and friendly service to all customers, to all fabric lines, and to work with the manager to keep the showroom polished and accomplish tasks efficiently
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Communicates with customers to inform them of new products and changes.
- Work with designers on projects and answer any questions they might have.
- Answer phones, takes orders, checks stock, and gives orders to home office.
- Follow orders from inception to completion
- Pulls discontinued fabrics and hangs new products.
- Price new products.
- Record daily and weekly sales reports.
- Interface with other departments to provide good service.
- Comply with departmental and company policies.
- Use materials and equipment effectively.
- Display good safety and housekeeping practices.
- Train new showroom staff
- Should be able to sub when manager is absent or on leave
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent, college preferred
- Sales experience preferred, knowledge of fabric a plus
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel required
- Must have excellent organization skills.
- Must have basic math skills, good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be neat in appearance and dress.
- Must have superb interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
