The Logistics & Production Manager oversees the procurement, storage, movement, and allocation of material goods and supplies within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manages the flow of material goods and supplies within the organization to ensure business obligations can be met, ensuring timeliness, safety, efficiency and accuracy are incorporated as primary obligations.
- Partner with internal and external teams to establish and manage expectations around flow of goods and supplies, and own issues, risks, and communication to ensure goals are met. Facilitates meetings to resolve complex problems and review areas of improvement.
- Guides and supports organizational purchasing in partnership with the purchasing and fulfillment coordinator. Leads on establishing vendor and supply sources for strategic procurement and seeks to refine and improve on existing processes.
- Manages the production aspect of organizational events and activations, ensuring materials and supplies are accounted for, deployed as directed, and removed from internal locations and off-site locations using equipment and vehicles.
- Select and maintain appropriate vendor partnerships; confirm requests and orders and ensure all vendor obligations are met. Responsible for timely communication of event goals with partners, successful completion of work, and invoicing.
- Oversee acquisition, maintenance, deployment, and inventory of event supplies and equipment, ensuring all are clean and in good working order for use. Coordinate movement of supplies to event sites and return to storage, noting issues or defects.
- Oversees the routine and as-needed maintenance of organizational fleet vehicles and logistics-related equipment, including forklifts, pallets jacks and other.
- Assist in budget development process and follow established financial processes and ensures budget compliance.
Qualifications
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics or production support management positions
- Previous work in project management or supply chain management a plus.
- Experience with logistics management practices, workflow improvement, change management and process improvement.
- Prior leadership of staff or work teams preferred
- Advanced proficiency of Office 365 suite, cloud-based information systems, web app software and integrated business system tools required.
