Mela is a New York based brand that specializes in manufacturing apple leather womens bags. Mela is expanding in the retail space with a storefront in the heart of luxury Soho shopping district opening on June 1st.
Role overview
This is a part-time on-site role with the potential to grow to a full- time role for a Store Assistant at Mela store located in Soho, New York City.
Responsibilties
The Store Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including retail sales, customer service, merchandise planning and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Communication and Customer Service skills
- Retail Sales and Organization Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a retail or customer service environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in the fashion industry is a plus
- Associate degree or equivalent

• Hourly pay ranging from $18 to $25/hour, based on experience, but subject to grow with good performance and consistency
