Title: Scouting Strategist
This is a generalist role at the intersection of scouting, strategy, and analytics. The work will connect draft strategy, player and football insights, metric creation, quantitative analysis, technical innovation, and scouting process/systems design.
Who You Are:
- A self-starter who can generate opportunities for improvement across our scouting, strategy, and analytics functions, and implement solutions
- An exceptionally sharp thinker who picks up new concepts quickly
- Deeply curious about football, strategy, analytics, and related fields
- Analytically-minded, with a strong intuition for quantitative & statistical methods
- Technically capable with experience in multiple query and programming languages or the aptitude to seamlessly pick them up
Key Responsibilities:
- Support draft preparation by developing strategic insights that inform our player acquisition and team-building approach
- Build dashboards and metrics that translate complex player data into actionable insights, enabling informed decision-making
- Develop and implement analytics solutions across scouting, coaching, and our broader football ecosystem
- Design scouting processes & data collection systems
- Identify and evaluate emerging scouting or technology trends, and develop implementation strategies
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a football, strategy, or technical role
- SQL and Python experience highly preferred
- Ability to work full-time in person at our Woodland Hills practice facility
- Bachelor’s degree required
Salary: $100,000 annual salary
