Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Warehouse Associate to support our daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials. This role ensures inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment to support production, customer service, and facility needs.
Key Responsibilities:Receiving & Stocking:
- Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
- Accurately receive goods into inventory management systems.
- Label and stock materials in designated storage locations.
Order Picking & Shipping:
- Pick and stage materials accurately based on work orders, sales orders, or production schedules.
- Pack items securely and prepare documentation for outgoing shipments.
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments onto delivery trucks.
Inventory Management:
- Perform routine inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Report discrepancies and assist in inventory reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and storage.
Material Handling & Safety:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (if certified).
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Support & Teamwork:
- Assist other departments (e.g., production, maintenance) with material requests and transfers.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet daily goals.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills; experience with WMS or ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Forklift certification (preferred or required, depending on the site).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Work Environment:
- Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures depending on season.
- May involve physical labor, lifting, bending, and operating warehouse equipment.
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
