Maximus is currently hiring for a Senior IT Project Manager to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. This is a remote opportunity. The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for developing strategies and tactical implementation of new products lines. The position also works closely with business development and sales groups to identify upcoming business needs as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies and tactical implementation of new products and improvements to existing product lines.
- Work closely with business development and sales groups to identify upcoming needs.
- Develop a detailed plan for implementation and roll out.
- Follow up by evaluating product performance.

- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise IT projects, ensuring alignment with PMO standards, business strategy, and technology roadmaps

- Define project objectives, develop integrated plans, manage scope, schedule, quality, and risks across full lifecycle

- Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels-including technical leads, and business owners-to ensure delivery success

- Drive adherence to governance protocols, including stage-gate reviews, KPI tracking, and executive reporting

- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, remove roadblocks, and ensure transparent communication of status and impacts

- Champion best practices in project management and contribute to continuous improvement of PMO frameworks and tools

- Provide leadership to matrixed teams and mentor as needed

- Please note upon hire, Veteran Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus Co. will provide all necessary computer equipment that is to be utilized to fulfil the duties of your role. New hires will not be exempt from using company provide equipment

- Home Office Requirements Using Maximus-Provided Equipment:

o Internet speed of 20mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to (1) www.speedtest.net)

o Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router

o Private work area and adequate power source

o Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US

- In accordance with SCA contract requirements, remote work must be conducted from the location specified at the time of hire. Travel is not permitted, and you are required to remain at your designated home location for all work activities.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of project management experience.
- Delivers multiple small and large projects with high values and high risk.
- Provides leadership for the project team to ensure that the project is delivered to specifications, on time and within budget.
- Develops innovative methodologies, techniques, and criteria for projects.
- Advanced knowledge of workflows and project mapping.
- Facilitates the tracking and resolution of issues impacting projects.

- PMP certification highly preferred

- 10+ years of progressive IT project management experience, including large- scale enterprise initiatives highly preferred

- Experience in PMO portfolio reporting and executive-level engagement

- Proven success managing high-visibility projects with cross-functional teams

- Expertise in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies

- Strong command of project tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project, Power BI, Confluence)

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder influence skills

- Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously with competing priorities

- SAFe, ITIL, or Lean Portfolio Management certifications preferred

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
